Dock position

Well, I have found that I really like having my dock on the right of my screen. Why? Because when I broadcast on Ustream I have the chat room going at the bottom (Watch and chat free, no downloads right here!!!!!) and I like having people see my dock. But when my dock is small enough for them to see the whole thing, it's too small for me to see it. So I just turned on magnification, and I'm happier than ever. The only downside is that I keep thinking the dock is on auto-hide at the bottom of my screen, so I move my mouse to the bottom like I am waiting for the dock to come up and it never does. But let me say, now that I have the dock on the side it's almost having a whole new interface. Kinda like having the taskbar on the side or at the top on windows. I have found that having everything smaller it's like having all of those icons off to the side (hahahaha). I would have it on the left, but that has it go onto my extended desktop, which the Ustream watchers aren't able to see. but I really am happy with my dock to the side. I would like all of you mac users try having your dock to one side(or on the bottom if you already do), and I would like you windows users to try moving your taskbar to a different side that you usually have it on. Who knows, you might like it and stick with it until you get bored of it (that's what happens to me).

NO WAY

I heard this from someone who was shadowing at a school, who was quizzing me about my mac expertise. Got everyone right, except for one which I doubted. I never really play with the AppleScript editor, but I was pretty sure that it was some professional stuff. I had played with it for the "say" command, but pretty much nothing other than that. So here's the question:

Q:What does the script editor say when you enter more than 100 random characters and run it?
My A: I never play with it. But I'm guessing Error (_). The code entered was too long to properly script.
His A: Actually, it says Way too long, dude!

Ya right. It's professional stuff. Doubt that. You have to be lying.

Well, I was bored so I just decided to try for myself. And look what happened.

Yup, it says Way too long, dude!
I can't believe this!
Well, there you have it.
Don't believe me?
Try it for yourself!

Safari 4 and the Acid 3 Test

The Acid 3 test is a javascript rendering test. And as you can see by the above screenshot, Safari 4 is the Only web browser to ever pass the Acid 3 test. Don't believe me? Check out these screenshots that I took myself.

To pass the test, a browser must use its default settings, the animation has to be smooth, the score has to end on 100/100, and the final page has to look exactly, pixel for pixel in full color with the blocks.

Now for the testing. People say that Firefox is the best and fastest web browser. Well, page-loading wise, NO. Safari is way faster than Firefox, and that's why I use it. But when it comes to JavaScript tests like the Acid 3, Safari is the winner by a long shot, even just by looking at the end results.
Firefox end result

Remember, I made all of these screenshots myself.
Safari 4 end result

Yups. Safari 4 is definitely what I would call Da Bomb.

Apple Shrine

I recently transformed one of my bookshelves into an apple shrine. Check it out.

Magic iLife?

Well, out of the blue I was switched to iLife '09. I bought my MacBook in 2008, hence it came with iLife '08. But after the free upgrade to Mac OS 10.5.7, I magically have iLife '09, and it's not a trial version (I don't think). It has absolutely no "register iPhoto '09" or anything like that. No "you have 35 days left until your trial ends", none of the stuff that says this is a trial version. I have had it for over a month, but I think the trial might last for 60 days, so by June 25th we will have the exact answer. Sadly, my iWork '08 didn't update. I'll live. I hear one of my friends has a teacher that is extremely happy with iLife and iWork '06. Well, let's just say I'm a ittle more recent then that.
